Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team at our lumber reload facility. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently handling, moving, and organizing lumber products within our facility.
Your main duties will include:
- Assist in loading and unloading lumber products from trucks and railcars.
- Sorting, stacking, and organizing lumber products in designated storage areas based on type, size, and grade.
- Performing regular inspections of lumber products to ensure quality and proper labeling.
- Assisting with inventory management tasks, including counting and tracking lumber stock levels.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of work.
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the work area to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No nights
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Hawthorne, FL required)
