POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Assist the Principal with the overall operations of the campus.

Provide support and consultation to students, parents, and staff in the implementation of student grades, discipline, and attendance; coordinate schoolwide programs; coordinate student events and activities; supervise campus safety and support student recruitment efforts; and, serve as a liaison between school and home to support discipline and other expectations leading to student success.


DUTIES &


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise online staff and student engagement.
  • Supervise student attendance and procedures; collaborate with the Principal to organize student registration and scheduling.
  • Supervise and/or coordinate student activities, events, including clubs, and student welfare programs.
  • Conference with students, parents, staff, and others in seeking solutions to academic and personal challenges of students.
  • Monitor discipline procedures for online classroom management and schoolwide expectations.
  • Process student referrals in matters of discipline, attendance, and due process hearings.
  • Work in collaboration with campus leadership, school counselor and PBIS Coach to develop and implement student behavior management initiatives. Consult with individuals and groups of students, staff, families and others to guide students toward desired behaviors.
  • Attend community events and activities for recruitment and enrollment purposes, when applicable.
  • Knowledge of school safety procedures.
  • Ability to act as school leader/Principal in times of emergency or need.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):

Master's Degree in education leadership (preferred):

Valid State of Arizona IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card:

Aspirations to grow into heightened levels of leadership:

Demonstrated ability to facilitate individual and small group interactions; one or more years successful experience in a school setting addressing student conduct issues
:

General knowledge of education law and student rights and responsibilities, as acquired through prior experience
:

-
Effective communication skills required, both verbal and written; strong ability to communicate diplomatically and persuasively in emotionally charged situations. Bi-lingual preferred. (Spanish/English)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Medium Work:

Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
