We are in search of a Warehouse Supervisor with a hands-on commitment to getting the job done.

Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager with effective supervisory skills to manage up to 30 people, the ability to direct and coordinate operations and measure the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.

Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in all facets of the warehouse is a requirement. Manages all warehouse activities including picking, shipping, and receiving of product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Overseeing the safe and productive receipt, storage, retrieval and timely delivery of product to both internal and external customers
Managing and controlling storage and distribution activities of the company to insure maximum utilization of facilities
Verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current and accurate
Screening, hiring, training of warehouse staff, evaluating employee performance, and recommending or initiating promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action for warehouse personnel
Tracking productivity and quality numbers for departmental employees and providing feedback
Insuring workplace health and safety requirements are met and taking responsibility for the security of the warehouse and stored product
Inspecting and maintaining physical condition of warehouse and equipment

Requirements:

High school diploma required; college degree preferred
Excellent communication skills Five years or more experience managing warehouse operations in a small shipment, wireless warehouse environment

- government/defense supplier a plus

Quality Assurance/ISO 9000 exposure preferred, AS9100 exposure a plus
Lean Enterprise and 5S exposure preferred
Good knowledge of modern warehousing techniques and equipment, including barcode and RF communications

Sedentary work.

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as:
preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
