The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for providing support in the day-to-day operation of custodial services.

In the absence of the Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager is the liaison between Didlake Corporate office, its customers, and staff.

This position may be considered essential personnel with the ability to respond to work in a timely manner as determined by contract needs.


  • As Essential Personnel, report to work in a timely manner as determined by contract needs regardless of an inclement weather event.
  • Confers with the Project Manager to direct and coordinate activities of the designated contract to ensure that goals or objectives of the contract are accomplished within prescribed time frames and budget parameters.
  • Coordinates with Contract Officer Representative (COR) and other appropriate staff to address concerns and proposed solutions.
  • Oversees efficiency and quality control indicators to ensure contract requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Reviews and implements health and safety procedures to meet federal and company standards; assists in the activities of the safety committee by providing technical and administrative support.
  • Provides leadership to staff by fostering teamwork.
  • Models dependability, hard work, strong ethics, and professional appearance.
  • Complete essential duties/functions as detailed in your site's contract.
  • Assures safety of employees by monitoring proper use of equipment and adherence to health and safety policies.
  • Cultivates an atmosphere that promotes Human Rights for all individuals with disabilities and ensures training, incident reporting, and awareness of responsibilities of all personnel regarding Human Rights.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
  • Prepares and submits data, reports, summaries, etc. as may be required by Didlake, COR, or other staff.
  • Communicates regularly with the Project Manager and the COR to provide status reports.
  • Consistently monitors chemical usage and inventory
  • Utilizes training opportunities to expand professional and technical knowledge.
  • Responsible for subcontractor followup to ensure work is completed.
  • Identifies staff development opportunities and assigns training.
  • Gives feedback to nurture a positive environment and quality performance.
  • Develops and maintains a relationship with all contractors and vendors guaranteeing efficient operations.
  • Good steward of government funding and facilities of the complex.
  • Manages supervisors, evaluates workers' performance, and makes recommendations to Human Resources on personnel actions.

Requirements:


Education:


  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred and 1 year of relevant custodial supervisor work experience.

Skills and Abilities:


  • Recent experience as a supervisor.
  • Ability to interact, train, and resolve personnel issues.
  • Must possess the ability to pass a security clearance background check.
  • Must possess strong communication skills including the ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Plan and assign daily work assignments.
  • Identify problems and take corrective action.
  • Oversees efficiency and quality control.
  • Must possess strong computer skills: Clean Telligent, Payroll.
  • Provides Leadership to employees fostering teamwork.
  • Assures appropriate workplace conduct.
  • Knowledge of federal contracts, budgets, safety, and health regulations is a plus.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills to interact, train, and resolve the personnel issues of maintenance staff with disabilities.
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees with disabilities.
  • Valid Drivers License.
