This position is responsible for the operation of a Flash Cutter (Atom and Zund G3 L-3200.

Responsibilities:

Machine is knife driven (die less cutting), setting up and programming is like a CNC Machine
Process work orders and complete the cutting operation which may include bagging, tagging, cleaning, labeling, and processing parts for shipping
Set machine up to run 1st articles or first piece if repeat part. Inspect part for approval and then start production run
When jobs are completed, remove from Flash Cutter and process according to work instructions
Working knowledge of calipers or ruler for measuring dimensions and tolerances on the work order or drawing

Requirements and Skills:

Experience running machine shop equipment, diecutting and/or printing equipment would be comparable to the Flash Cutter
AutoCAD training is preferable
General math skills are a plus
Basic computer skills
Ability to work independently processing orders
Be able to determine an acceptable part
Understanding blueprint/drawing tolerances
Read, speak and understand English
Physical ability to work in a standing position for prolonged periods
Capability to read, understand and comprehend work instructions, dimensions/tolerances, fractions, decimals, inches, and millimeters
Ability to read and understand drawings
Capable of multitasking in fast pace environment, able to set up one machine and while its running set up the second machine so that you optimize the running time
Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
Be able to set priorities based on due dates to customer
