Project Manager, Information Technology - Central Laboratory - Full-Time - Days

Join a highly-skilled technical team of the Central Laboratory at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Take on this important role, responsible for managing all internal and external projects. Own projects at all phases from a scope, task, budget, and status perspective. These projects are often complex, affect many users and can often be multi-year and multi-phased projects.


Additional responsibilities include:

  • Manage internal group projects of various sizes and complexities.
  • Lead multiphase projects, including network infrastructure implementation.
  • Collaborate with Information Services departments to gather network and clinical operation requirements.
  • Conduct regular status meetings with Operations Managers and Network Engineers.
  • Maintain project documents, meet schedules, and stay within budget.
  • Demonstrate a track record of successful project management and proactive risk management.
  • Excel in collaboration, conflict resolution, and team communication.
  • Travel between New York-Presbyterian campuses to engage with stakeholders.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and training to team members and project leaders.
  • Perform additional jobrelated duties as assigned.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration
  • Experience working within the Clinical Laboratories with LIS Projects

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Technology or related field
  • PMP Certification or equivalent
  • 5 7 years of previous work related experience or project manager experience
  • Excellent organizational, communication and analytic skills.
  • Business Savvy
  • Microsoft Suite, MS Project, Visio
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Professional demeanor and good communication skills
  • Maintains good relationships with customers, peer technical groups and other IT organizations/groups
  • History of projects delivered on time, meeting requirements, high team satisfaction.

Salary Range:

$119,000-$195,500/Annual
