Position Overview:
Accountable for leadership and supervision of the Outpatient Services which includes Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Therapeutic Programs and others.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ensures interdependent departments are effectively contributing to the quality of patient care and at the same time, responding to the various demands placed on them by other departments, physicians and the public.
Oversees strategic program goals and objectives are consistent with overall facility goals and objectives.
Remains current on all therapeutic techniques and provide direction to staff and facility personnel.
Monitors, operates, and maintains budget, staffing patterns, and FTE's of various programs.
Maintains statistical data and reports as required by funding agencies.
Explores and pursues other sources of programming and funding.
Explores the possibility of creating new programs.
Ensures adherence by staff to applicable policies and procedures for each individual group of professionals.
Hires, fires, transfers, promotes, disciplines, evaluates performance and recommends merit increases.
Supervises staff members in performance of their roles.
Ensures programs meet or exceed agency, licensure and organizational standards and is in compliance with all licensing, accreditation and funding agencies.
COMPLIANCE:
- Maintains strictest confidence of all patients protected health information (PHI) and protects all PHI from accidental, intentional, or inappropriate disclosure.
- Performs care in compliance with department standards, policies, and procedures, as well as local, state and federal regulatory agencies to deliver the highest level of patient privacy and care.
- Retains certification and completes mandated continuing education requirements to meet facility and regulatory agencies accreditation and licensure requirements.
EDUCATION:
Master's:
social work, counseling, or related field.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
12 years of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of administrative and clinical areas with special emphasis on hospital and/or other healthcare settings and standards of patient care.
Excellent written and oral communications skills, along with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements, including The Joint Commission (TJC), California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and Title 22 specifications.
knowledge of State, Federal, and Profession Industry Standards pertaining to healthcare practice.
Conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills in a complex environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, presentation, and collaboration skills.
Analytical and financial management skills with the proven ability to achieve sustainable and significant cost efficiencies on an organization-wide basis.
Ability to foster an interactive and collaborative environment, to influence individuals or groups with diverse opinions and to enlist cooperation without direct control/authority while building high performance teams committed to accomplishing initiatives in ecosystems that may be resistant to change.
Analytical skills to resolve complex issues, drive through obstacles, develop optimal growth opportunities, and deliver effective business solutions that meet the goals of the foundation(s), medical groups, operating unit and the enterprise.
Ability and experience working across a wide range of care delivery environments and providers and collaborating with essential business partners, with the ability to build consensus.
