About You and this Role

We are looking for a Training Coordinator supporting the TES group in Freeport, Texas.

The role will align to Dow's Design Your Day approach and allows employees flexibility by choosing when to work remotely and when to attend on-site activities based on project work and role needs.


You would manage the department training program, for assigned areas, ensuring department training documentation is current and up to date.

You support the annual training program review with department leadership, as needed. This requires established basic technical skills to perform a range of routine work activities using existing processes and methods.

You are a team player, have good prioritization and organizational skills, and demonstrate competencies in the areas of:
leadership, initiative, teamwork, and interpersonal effectiveness.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensures local, global, and business curriculums are assigned in line with needs and requirements.
  • Ensures all required employee training records are uptodate and maintained. Tracks compliance and communicates overdue training to deliver 100% training compliance. Performs other audit related reporting.
  • Works with management of change (MOC) owners to ensure that training related requirements are achieved.
  • Engages in onboarding of new employees and contractors into the department.
  • Actively participates in Texas Operations (TXO) and Global Technical Expertise & Support (TES) learning networks.
  • If applicable, as the Functional Administrator for the North America regions, supports content development and updates/modifications in Diamond Learning.

Requirements:


  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED/equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Has strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to work with independently with mínimal supervision within an empowered team environment.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Skills

  • Prior training, teaching, or adult learning experience.
  • Prior experience working in a chemical facility.
