    Summary:

    The Bilingual (Spanish/English) Benefit Analyst plays a key role in managing and optimizing employee benefits programs, addressing worker comps inquiries, and ensuring compliance with labor regulations. This role ensures and maintains HR information and records, supports HR and benefit audits, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance overall department processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance enrollments process (meetings, translations, distributing communications and discrepancies) to grant access to eligible employees and ensure accuracy of premiums.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to employee benefits.
    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, explaining options and resolving issues promptly.
    • Conduct regular audits to verify data accuracy in benefits systems and address discrepancies.
    • Participate in the development and communication of HR & Benefit policies and procedures.
    • Report and assist with workers compensations, auto and general liability incidents to improve claim management and reduce cost.
    • Assist with termination procedures. Complete unemployment claims and respond to agency requests, including DOL.
    • Document internal procedures to guarantee consistency and sustainability.
    • Manages leave requests and recommends appropriate action within company policy while ensuring compliance with federal and state leave laws and insurance plans.
    • Assist with HR Projects as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Business or related field required.
    • 1 to 3 years' experience with Benefits programs and Workers Comp., preferably in a retail/ restaurant environment
    • Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations, including employee taxation knowledge
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, especially Excel.
    • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and in multiple projects at a time.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills for employee interaction and policies communication.
    • Ability to address HR and Benefit related issues with all company levels, including senior level management.
    • Bilingual in Spanish is a required.
