- Support project leaders and Managing Directors in preparing qualitative and quantitative analysis of key strategic, economic, and market analyses
- Contribute to client interaction via email and conference calls as appropriate.
- Assist in preparing presentation materials for clients
- Demonstrate creativity to develop solutions to novel business and policy problems.
- Organize your time and prioritize assignments and responsibilities in order to meet goals and deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to review work product for completeness and accuracy.
- Participate in group practice meetings, contribute to business development initiatives, write business proposals and proposed work scopes, and contribute to other office and team functions.
- An undergraduate-level degree in economics, finance, applied mathematics, accounting, business and data analytics, engineering, and/or related discipline;
- Two to four years of experience in the energy industry and/or consulting;
- Keen interest in energy markets, economics and financial analysis, and research;
- Desire to work within a team environment as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently;
- Advanced capability with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, and Outlook;
- Commitment to producing high quality analysis and client deliverables;
- Strong work ethic and ability to support multiple projects and deadlines; and
- Well-developed organization and time management skills.
- A Master's-level degree (e.g., MBA, MA, MS, etc.) in economics, finance, applied mathematics, accounting, business and data analytics, engineering, and/or related disciplines AND a minimum two (2) years of prior experience in energy industry and/or energy consulting;
- Prior professional writing experience, including experience in writing client advisory and market reports;
- Working understanding of energy market dynamics, and a passion for learning;
- Experience in statistical analysis programs (e.g., Stata and R), Tableau, SQL, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ), with a desire to expand those capabilities.
