    Description

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Identify and execute continuous improvement activities to improve safety, quality, labor, and OEE. Includes opportunities in infrastructure, bottle making, end of line automation, packaging, and warehouseOwn project management and execution for engineering and automation projects including quoting, ROI justification, financial forecasting, installation, start-up, and project reportingProvide trip agendas, request for quotes, competitive bids, vendor analysis (cost/benefits), project closure, lessons learned, and cost tracking for all projectsProactively ensure project scope is accurate and updated for financial impactDrive culture of standardization in safety, automation, equipment selection, and project managementLead complex equipment moves to facilitate new businessCollaborate with cross functional teams such as quality, sales, production operations, and warehouseLead projects with external vendors and take initiative in new equipment vendor identificationTechnical SME for external customer communicationDevelopment of training, SOP, PM, LOTO, and validation documents for equipment including best practicesSupport the design, improvement and fabrication of internally developed and purchased blow molding and auxiliary equipment


    TRAVEL:
    50% travel pending on project assignments and home plant location


    EDUCATION:

    Required:
    BS Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial) or 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing and maintenanceEXPERIENCE/


    SKILLS:

    Required:
    Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, plant engineering, automation engineering or Maintenance EngineeringPreferred: Plastics packaging experience - bottle making, filling, or supply Experience in Robotics, AGV, control systems, and facilities equipment installations across multiple applications, and platformsExperience in plant layout design, bulk material handling, and utility auditsExperience in equipment troubleshooting and RCAAbility to read and generate electrical schematics and mechanical printsExperience in sustainability and energy reduction initiativesExperience in blow molding technologiesGeneral knowledge of OSHA safety standardsGeneral knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles
    Drawing Skills: 2D CAD drawing skills for plant layouts and equipment requests. 3-D modeling capability is a plus

    Computer Skills:
