    Job Summary:

    The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a full-cycle, Senior Recruiter, conducting full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates. Under the direction of the Employment Unit Manager, this position exercises independent judgement in the coordination and administration of all aspects of talent acquisition actions, which includes, but not limited to: sourcing, screening and preparing applicants for interviews with hiring managers, ensuring compliance with ADCRR policies and federal and state regulations, while providing instructions, guidance, and excellent customer service. The focus will be on recruiting qualified candidates, from start to finish, for skilled trades, substance abuse counselors, educational teachers, IT/technical, and executive level job classifications. The Senior Recruiter will build a pipeline with colleges, military, and other community groups.

    This position will partner with the Hiring Manager and have an active role in advertising, career fair scheduling/attendance, sourcing/connecting via LinkedIn, and lead other team projects.

    Partially, this position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's needs and the meeting of expected performance measures.

    Job Duties:

    Conducts full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates
    - Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process
    - Utilize various recruitment methods such as job boards, social media, and networking to attract qualified candidates
    - Create new talent acquisition strategies
    - Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies
    - Drafts and posts job announcements, utilizing recruitment software
    - Review resumes and track qualified applicants
    - Conduct phone and in-person interviews to assess candidate qualifications
    - Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and candidates
    - Researches position requirements, and works closely with hiring authorities to develop effective recruitment strategies for job vacancies
    - Provides professional customer service to hiring managers and applicants
    - Responds to applicant questions, regarding recruitment policies, procedures, position availability, and hiring list status
    - Travels statewide (possible some weekends) to meet with hiring authorities in the field to discuss recruitment efforts
    - Select, schedule, and attend job fairs and recruitment events
    - Drives on State business
    - Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

    Knowledge of:
    - Current recruitment trends, branding, social media, and Boolean search
    - Professional level human resources practices and procedures
    - Personnel administration, including recruitment, classification and compensation, selection, and hiring

    Skill in:
    - Written and verbal communications
    - Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships
    - Problem-solving and decision making
    - Resume evaluation utilizing the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) evaluation method
    - Developing creative recruitment strategies for difficult to fill positions

    Ability to:
    - Be creative in an often repetitious working environment
    - Learn and use Human Resources Information Solution (HRIS) and PageUp software
    - Learn and adhere to department and state rules, regulations, policies, and procedures regarding recruitment and hiring
    - Learn, interpret, and apply ADOA Personnel Rules
    - Write comprehensive job announcements
    - Manage multiple tasks/assignments simultaneously
    - Be self-motivated
    - Maintain confidentiality
    - Adapt to changing conditions in a fluid environment

    Selective Preference(s):

    Three (3) years of experience as a full-cycle recruiter
    - Experience in recruiting skilled trades and technical positions

    Pre-Employment Requirements:

    In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

    Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.

    Retirement:

    Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).
    Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
