Summary:

As the Receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact to all visitors and callers for the local Elkhart campus.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Accept, screen and route telephone calls concerning activities and operations of the office, directing inquiries as appropriate and/or providing information to ensure a positive experience for both external and internal customers.
  • Greet and direct visitors to the correct locations, providing a welcome atmosphere for all.
  • Maintain and organize front office/lobby area creating an environment of excellence.
  • Order office supplies/equipment for Elkhart employees upon request, ensuring proper approvals have been received.
  • Stocking and organizing supply closet as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements / Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years general office experience
  • Intermediate PC skills, proficient with MS Office with an ability to use "inhouse" developed software programs
  • Strong planning, organizational, and executing skills are required in this role; forwardthinking, prioritization and project management skills
  • Excellent speaking and phone communication skills.
  • Able to read/write/speak English and Spanish fluently with excellent verbal/written communication
  • Relational, trustworthy, respectful, and a steady personality who handles situations with optimism and patience; good listener who can be flexible and invoke great ideas to make the best decisions.

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to stand for up 48 hours in one session
  • Ability to sit at desk for 4+ hours per day
  • Ability to operate keyboard and view computer screen as needed throughout the day
  • Ability to write ideas/information in a logical flow as needed throughout the day
  • Ability to communicate with others via phone, inperson, and computer ongoing
  • Ability to listen to customers, problemsolve, and respond accordingly
  • Specific vision abilities required in this role includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish fluently
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, twist, push, pull, stoop, crouch, and carry items frequently Lifting up to 25 lbs. sporadically

Work Environment:


  • The employee is regularly exposed to an office and manufacturing environment with moderate noise. The employee is occasionally required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment while visiting manufacturing departments.
  • The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The environmental climate is temperaturecontrolled.
