    Qualifications: High School Diploma

    Purpose: To prepare and serve food and clean kitchen equipment

    Essential Functions and Performance Responsibilities: (These are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.)
    1. Participates in preparing a variety of foods, such as soups, salads, meats, vegetables, breads, and desserts
    2. Makes sandwich fillings and prepares sandwiches
    3. Sets up foods prepared for serving on counters and steam tables
    4. Serves food at mealtime and performs cashier duties as assigned
    5. Accurately accounts for food prepared and sold
    6. Operates various kitchen equipment
    7. Cleans kitchen equipment and area, scrubs counters, and cleans tables
    8. Stores and takes care of supplies
    9. Counts inventory when assigned
    10. Conforms to safety standards as prescribed
    11. Performs other tasks related to the position as assigned
    12. Comply with professional code of ethics and school policies
    13. Attends staff meetings (as appropriate).
    14. Performs other tasks (as appropriate).
    15. Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as appropriate as assigned by the Food Service Coordinator.
