Job Description:

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings):

Manager.Senior.Site Reliability Engineering

Collaborate across organization to ensure performance of Akamai cloud platform and services; Lead, review, and mentor a team of site reliability engineers to develop and execute a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and Service Level Objective (SLO) strategy for the products and services; Launch projects to analyze KPI data and extract actionable insights on the performance of networks; Use SLOs to generate performance target guidance for planning and deployment teams; Design, develop, and deliver outcomes that align with company goals and divisional objectives; Deliver solutions that are automated, maintainable, and operationally supported; Troubleshoot large distributed systems using monitoring, logging, and performance analytics tools; and Shape cross-team communication and collaboration between the Engineering, Products, Infrastructure, and Operations groups. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States.[AG1050]

Required Qualification:

Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Interdisciplinary Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Telecommunication Engineering, and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or closely related technical role.

Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Interdisciplinary Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, plus six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related technical role.

Must have: Four (4) years of experience with the following: Design of supporting infrastructure and automation processes; load balancing technologies and user traffic management; core infrastructure services such as configuration management, authentication, orchestration, and provisioning; technical project management and leadership; software development lifecycle; multi-tiered distributed software systems; and service-oriented architecture.

Compensation:

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $208520-$238744/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
