THE POSITION:


DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


  • The primary responsibility of this role is to assess the proficiency and breadth of skills possessed by the bridge maintenance crew. Based on this evaluation, the individual will then suggest suitable training programs to enhance their capabilities. Additionally, the position involves creating and presenting cost estimates, conducting crew capability analyses, and making recommendations on whether to utilize department Forces or contract work for bridge projects. Furthermore, the role entails developing comprehensive work process materials that outline best practices, while also addressing potential issues that may arise and providing efficient resolutions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday
  • Friday, with 30minute lunch.
  • This position is eligible for Alternate Work Schedule (AWS) upon successful completion of probationary period.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • Three years as a Highway Foreman 2;
    or:
  • Five years of technical experience in highway maintenance or highway construction;
    or:
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:


  • This position requires possession of a valid PA noncommercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
