- Performs quality, diagnostic exams according to protocols established by Perinatologist/Radiologists.
- Demonstrates knowledge of surgical procedures for ultrasound and x-ray exams performed in surgery.
- Will be trained to perform quality, diagnostic high risk OB, GYN, and a variety of abdominal ultrasounds as well as ultrasounds on patients in a Level III neonatal intensive care unit according to ALARA guidelines
- Consistently uses radiation safety protocols such as shielding, announcing x-rays, etc.
- All sonography training will be completed on-site at The Women's Hospital.
- The Radiologic Technologist/Sonographer must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Imaging.
- Maintain ARDMS or be ARDMS registry eligible for SPI and OB/GYN within 3 months of hire or cross training.
- Maintain ISDH or ARRT certifications.
- Job training with Tri-State Perinatology is required.
- Six months of hospital experience with OB/GYN focus is preferred but not necessary.
- BLS is required within 6 months of hire.

#Job Overview:
The Radiologic Technologist/ Sonographer performs diagnostic radiology/sonographic duties to include quality, diagnostic high risk OB, GYN, and a variety of abdominal ultrasounds as well as performing ultrasounds on patients in a Level III neonatal intensive care unit according to ALARA guidelines.#
The Radiologic Technologist/ Sonographer demonstrates knowledge of proper infant, adult and pregnant adult technique selections and surgical procedures for x-ray and ultrasound exams; and consistently utilizes radiation safety protocols.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
