DESCRIPTION


The HR Manager, Employee Relations serves as the primary HR contact (for assigned responsibilities) for corporate office, OK, LA, S.

TX, and E. TX employees, carrying out HR practices and initiatives to support and improve daily operations.

This role is expected to serve as a business partner to all levels of management and is responsible for the development and implementation of HR initiatives to assist in reaching the goals and objectives of the organization and business unit, while remaining aligned with the corporate HR function.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides guidance and support to multiple sites in all areas of Human Resources and HR initiatives within the designated geographic area, while implementing Aegis policies and procedures at the local level;
  • Oversee regional Talent Management (emphasis on HiPo's, training, engagement, development, and performance management) in assigned regional area;
  • Partner with Regional HSE Manager in enforcement of safety compliance initiatives when warranted;
  • Coordinate workforce planning with local leaders to align the needs and priorities of the organization with the local workforce;
  • Address employee concerns;
  • Handle complaint investigations at the local level;
  • Coaching and counseling to local managers on HR issues, recommending solutions consistent with past practices and company policies;
  • Influence and build strong, crossfunctional relationships with regional leaders, increasing trust, transparency, and reliance with the HR function;
  • Work with Director of HR and Regional HR Manager in utilizing Paycom surveys; become the "face" of the survey platform.
  • Facilitate employee recognition and engagement programs
  • Drive engagement through coaching and education; coach managers on issues related to employee development, relationship building, engagement, and employee retention;
  • Team with local management to determine appropriate disciplinary processes and actions. Assist regional management on preparation of appropriate documentation, conduct exit interviews;
  • Planning and ensuring effectiveness of key HR processes and strategy in partnership with Corporate HR Department;
  • Ongoing management of employee recognition and lengthofservice award programs; analysis and optimize as necessary;
  • Training on HRrelated topics as necessary for both managers and employees;
  • Perform administrative personnel transactions as required and; Other duties as assigned and the ability to work overtime as needed. SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Paycom exposure or familiarity with HRIS systems
  • Ability to be assertive when advising or providing guidance to managers and leaders when making HRrelated decisions
  • Ability to foster and sustain collaborative working relationship at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced everchanging environment as well as be an effective team player; must be able to work with strict deadlines and have the ability to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations governing Human Resources
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with exposure to sensitive matters
  • Ability to travel periodically and available for extended hours as business dictates
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) and PC Skills
  • Demonstrated effective time management

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years' progressive Human Resources experience
  • Experience with Paycom is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or similar field
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP Certification preferred
  • Oil & gas or chemical production industry experience a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some lifting is required. This would require the ability to lift files, packages, and open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.


TRAVEL
25% travel out-of-area.
