Description
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, hallways, elevators, common areas, and restrooms (mop, sweep, strip/wax/buff floors, dust, vacuum, and garbage removal)
- Perform light maintenance tasks as assigned
- Conduct electrical repairs and replace items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuit breakers, etc.
- Handle plumbing repairs including replacing fittings, cleaning stoppages, and faucets
- Schedule service requests according to maintenance priorities
- Complete carpentry work and repair asphalt, masonry, and fencing as needed
- Maintain accurate records related to preventative maintenance, service requests, and painting schedules
- Provide excellent customer service to residents
- Ensure general upkeep of buildings and grounds
- Manage snow removal and landscaping
- Keep all equipment and supplies in good condition
- Assist with special projects as required
Compensation:
$27.95 (Full Union Rate)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 years of experience as a janitor, cleaner, or porter
- Reliability and experience with cleaning chemicals are a must
- Ability to work well in a team with minimal supervision
- Strong time management skills and work ethic
- Capability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift
- Knowledge of light maintenance tasks is beneficial
Additional Requirement:
You may need to be on call when necessary.
