The HR Project Manager is accountable for managing several cross-functional projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget, objectives are met, and project teams are working collaboratively to achieve the desired goals.

The Project Manager will work within the team leading high-impact projects.

They will ensure successful delivery of all HR projects that follow our established project management methodology and governance and will be responsible for building project plans, managing cross-functional dependencies, mitigating risks, and engaging with collaborators on various teams.

Additionally, the Project Manager will play a vital role in overseeing the projects and governance structure of the HRIS team.

They will manage applicable reporting and analytics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of HRIS team.

They will help prioritize a metric-driven pipeline of process related improvements and opportunities and serve as liaison between technical and business resources.


Detailed Job Requirements:

  • Assist in managing crossfunctional project teams mainly within HR to meet the objectives in a complex environment (high number of projects interacting together)
  • Accountable for coordinating full scope of each project including recommendation on team members/resource needed, a detailed timeline and presentations for each stage gate and raising concerns/risks to appropriate stakeholders
  • Establish all assigned projects in accordance with approved protocols to ensure delivering projects on time, on budget, and while meeting high quality standards and stakeholder expectations
  • Create, maintain and disseminate project information to project team members and stakeholders, including meeting agendas and minutes in a concise, accurate, and professional manner
  • Identify and drive project risks and issues to resolution by developing options and recommendations. Escalate unresolved items to the leadership team in a timely manner
  • Organize, report and communicate the progress of the projects to HR management and other business stakeholders as needed
  • Monitor projects across HR teams to track interdependencies and impacts across HR & the business to flag any risks with resourcing, timing, etc.
  • Participate in projects originating outside of HR and coordinate key HR activities as assigned to the department
  • Jump in and roll sleeves up when needed to assist in project task completion
  • Manage the process for the HRIS intake, prioritization, testing, and scheduling deployment of HCM bug/fix, enhancements, and new functionality within the Workday platform.
  • Coordinate the various HRIS projects, their associated deliverables and timelines and follow all steps / aspects of governance for HRIS implementations
  • Manage JIRA tracking system, ensure traceability of all project artifacts, technical specifications, testing results, and migrations. Enforce processes by conducting regular audits of system and process documentation
  • Coordinate with IT to ensure proper support needed for downstream updates
  • Monitor and hold HRIS team accountable to the release calendar and schedule
  • Maintain enhancement requests lists and project activity lists; coordinating with HRIS team to collect status updates and ensure timely completion of activities
Background- Bachelor's Degree- 5 years' experience, at least 2-3 years with prior project experience- Previous experience in HR (Familiar with several areas of HR; learning, compensation and benefits, HRIS, Talent, Inclusive Diversity, etc.) a plus- Previous Experience with technology and implementation, preferable HRIS systems, such as Workday- PMP Certification a plus- Knowledge of JIRA system and process a plus- Strong written and oral communication skills- Excellent multitasking skills- Ability to work under pressure with mínimal supervision- Experience working in a growth-oriented, fast paced environment- Excellent problem-solving skills- Detail-oriented and highly organized- Flexible and adaptable - ability to pivot quickly- Drive results and deliver with tight deadlines
