Position Summary
IT Application Owner is fully in charge of the Applications under scope, from Business Requirements to Production, and must assure the quality of the delivery of their solutions, including security code quality, architecture, continuity, scalability, business requirements


Dimensions of Role


As part of this team, the IT Application Owner will oversee a portfolio of IT assets that will support the strategy of AXA Partners US, maintaining a long-term vision.

They will play a key role in AXA Partners transformation enabling the integration of IT global assets in the local IT Landscape.


The IT Application Owner leads - 2 cross-functional squads providing different delivery capabilities, such as Development, Operations, Architecture, Business Analysis, and QA, covering large but consistent business functionalities.


The role holder will oversee the IT developments (BAU & Projects) by leading several AGILE squads to get the most efficient and qualitative delivery.

He is accountable for the operational quality of a product on the perimeter.


In partnership with the Portfolio Management team (PMO) and Business/Product Owner, the role holder ensure delivery expectations are met (On Time, On Business, On Scope, On Quality).


In coordination with Global IT Architecture, Security and DPO the role holder is accountable for the alignment of the solutions of the Squads against the Target Architecture, Group standards and Security guidelines.


The role holder will define service level agreements with business continuity team, as well as conduct ITSCM test plans to ensure the operational resilience maturity of the entity.


Your Profile Key Responsibilities**- Manage operationally the delivery of BAU and Projects
Keeping the Domain operational, according to AXA Partners IT governance (Architecture, security, DPO), SLA's and Obsolescence management policy.
Manage & optimize the BAU budget on his/her perimeter
Assess business demands in terms of technology, workload, and budget.
Delivering projects (OTOBOS) & setting the Domain's agile teams to support AXA Partners strategic Business Plan
Ensuring the consistency of projects roadmap and global solution design.
Contribute on AXA Digital Transformation program by supporting solutions design and rollout's
Ensuring the excellence of Application analysis, implementation, test, deployment and rollback plans
Lead and facilitate the adoption of AGILE and DevOps within the organization
Design, execute and improve ITSCM plans for the solutions within the Domain.
Ensure security targets are met, and prevention & mitigation actions plans are executed according to AXA global guidelines

  • Contribute to the applicative strategy on his perimeter:
Defining a long-term vision of the solutions in his/her portfolio
Defining the evolution path of the Domain together with the Business Owner
Manage an operational solution roadmap for the perimeter
Ensure solution simplification and continuity
Proactively conduct technology research and provide new technologies and methods utilization proposals

  • Be part of the Global IT community
Take part in the community to develop best practices and new standards.
Take part in the training sessions in order to develop required hard/soft skills
Cooperate with IT architect in the feasibility analysis for new solutions
Cooperate with financial analysts in estimating the costs and benefits of new solutions,
Cooperate with Security Information Office to ensure secure solutions


Technical skills and experience:

- +5 years of experience as an IT Project/Program Manager and/or Tech Lead within an International environment
- +5 years of experience in vendor management

  • Experience in mentoring and coaching teams
  • Knowledge of technical management, information analysis and IT technologies with a good head for business
  • Overview of existing and new technologies
  • Experience on eCommerce solutions
  • Experience in IT portfolio management with proven track of cost control/improvement
  • Solid experience in defining deployment, test and rollback plans
  • Knowledge in generating process documentation
  • Understanding of systems engineering and security concepts
  • The ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis
  • Modelling techniques and methods
  • Experience on Agile methodologies
