Job Description:

  • US Ethics and Compliance AdvisorPOSITION OVERVIEW: Leads the team of Ethics and Compliance Advisors who provide ethics and healthcare compliance support for US business functions
  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Act as the key point of contact for ethics and compliance support adhering to critical business activities within our US market, including activities planned by Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Public Affairs teams, among others
  • Establish a forwardlooking strategic vision that aligns the Ethics and Compliance organization with the overarching goals of our company, serving as the foundation upon which our strategic priorities are built; conduct a thorough needs assessment, taking into account regulatory changes, industry trends, and internal dynamics to inform the development of strategic priorities that address our most critical challenges and opportunities; engage with key stakeholders, both within the Ethics and Compliance Organization and across the broader company, to gather insights and perspectives, ensuring that our strategic priorities are wellrounded and responsive to the needs of the organization; and evaluating the risk landscape, identifying areas where our ethics and compliance efforts can have the greatest impact in mitigating risks and enhancing our ethical standards.
  • Establish clear and measurable performance metrics to track the progress of our strategic priorities, allowing for ongoing assessment and adjustment to ensure we are on track to meet our objectives
  • Provides strategic advice and support to the business and other key stakeholders in operationalizing compliance processes and executing within legal and compliancerelated requirements
  • Prioritize and set training strategy and educational sessions to enhance ethics and compliance understanding among stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Privacy and Data Ethics team, as well as the Global Legal Business Partner team, to operationalize requirements related to data privacy, information security, cyber laws, and industry codes, reinforcing our commitment to ethical data practices
  • Support compliancerelated incident response processes with internal stakeholders
  • Create, influence, support and facilitate policy, training and communications, monitoring, risk assessments, due diligence, transparency, and other healthcare compliance needs
  • Stay abreast of relevant ethics and compliance developments and industry trends, collaborating with the Global Business Legal organization and other compliance teams, to ensure Gilead operates within the ethical and compliance frameworks mandated by regulatory authorities and our own core values
  • Work in partnership with, and influence within the Global Business Legal organization and other stakeholders to help ensure the organization operates within ethical and compliance frameworks mandated by regulatory authorities and in alignment with our company's values
  • Lead, inspire, and develop the team, fostering a highperformance culture. Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to enhance the team's capabilities and effectiveness.
