Knowledge of and experience using the Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD Assessment preferred.
Experience working with preschool students and parents. Good interpersonal skills.
The classroom teacher must also supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times by:
- Maintaining a high quality learning environment in accordance with the Paterson Public Schools, The Department of Education, NJ Office of Licensing and Grow NJ Kids'
- Implementing the daily program as outlined in the class schedule with the help of an assistant teacher following the weekly lesson plan
- Collecting and using formative observationbased assessment data to inform instruction
- Attending scheduled workshops and staff meetings and pursue professional development hours as required
- Participating in and encouraging parental involvement in family based activities and student's education.
- Working cooperatively as a team member within the classroom, with peers and administration.
- Be a good classroom manager and able to build the students social emotional skills.
- Knowledge of TPOT, ECCERS and/or CLASS helpful.
Job Types:

Pay:
$58, $70,000.00 per year
