    Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment organization that places with aspiring and experienced educators in K-12 Independent Schools nationwide, and in the Philadelphia area

    We are currently seeking School Counselors for the upcoming school year.

    Responsibilities:

    • Counselor students in a K-12 environment
    • Meet 1:1 and in small groups with students
    • Monitor students during breaks (lunch, recess, break time)
    • Lead, provide, and supervise extracurricular activities after school
    • Collaborate with teachers and assistant teachers
    • Observe State childcare regulations and school policies and procedures

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in school counseling required
    • Experience in a K-12 school setting
    • Warm, caring demeanor
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to manage time and carry out multiple tasks assigned
    • Understands and respects K-12 aged students and their needs
    • Strong management skills
    • Ability to problem solve and demonstrate initiative
    • First Aid and CPR certifications (the school may allow these to be acquired after hiring)

    Compensation:

    Salaries are competitive and based on experience and training. The school offers a competitive benefits package, including (80%) employer-paid health insurance, dental/vision insurance options, 401k matching options, and ample professional development opportunities.
