IMMEDIATE OPENING:
Pottstown, Mon-Fri 6:45a - 7p, or 7a-7p. You can work 1, 2 or hour shifts/week.
The client is a young adult who needs ongoing assistance with all ADL's. She has a smile that brightens the room and has no behavioral issues. She is able to ambulate with the use of a gait belt. She loves music and looking through pictures of family and friends. The nurse must perform careful neuro assessments, as this client has a seizure disorder. There are 2 friendly dogs in the home, no smoking.
Essential Functions:
- Follow the nursing process in all areas of patient care.
- Fall seizure and aspiration precautions.
- Uses established seizure protocols for seizure management as written by the neurologists.
- Accurately documents assessments, treatments, and interventions.
- Notifies the family and management of any concerns.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid, active Pennsylvania RN License
- Current CPR (or be willing to take a class)
- 1+ year experience postgraduation strongly preferred
- Seizure management experience helpful.
Private-duty nursing means that patients are able to live at home longer, often surrounded by family members and familiar surroundings.
