    Description

    GEICO's Cloud ALM Team is looking for a highly motivated Senior Developer Tools / Developer Experience Engineer to help us reshape and optimize the developer experience at GEICO. With the support of a dynamic team, you will help GEICO operate, standardize, optimize, and automate within developer tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Visual Studio, VS Code) across a large developer community.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Support 1,500+ engineers and 8,000+ total users as a central tool administrator for Azure DevOps, GitHub, Visual Studio, and VS Code
    • Develop and maintain automation that synchronizes data and records across work management and SDLC tool integrations
    • Develop and maintain solutions that further developer platform monitoring/observability initiatives, security initiatives, and developer experience initiatives
    • Evaluate, test, and productionize new developer capabilities, developer tools, and underpinning platform engineering capabilities that enhance the developer experience
    • Contribute to enterprise standards and governance/guardrails for use of developer tools

    Desired Qualifications:

    • A passion for best in class developer tools, capabilities, and experiences
    • 5+ years professional experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub as a developer or administrator, including experience with repositories, package management, and CICD/pipelines
    • 5+ years professional experience in programming languages that implement automation (e.g. Powershell, C# ,Net)
    • 5+ years experience in all application design phases including requirements definition, decomposition, design, code review, code quality, build/release, and troubleshooting issues
    • 3+ years professional experience in automation, working with APIs to integrate platforms and synchronize data
    • 3+ years experience with Azure Cloud IaaS, PaaS services and capabilities
    • Experience working with market leading IDEs (e.g. Visual Studio, VS Code)

    Annual Salary

    $82, $185,000.00

    The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
