- Provide crisis and intake assessments, diagnosis, and ongoing brief community support services
- Conduct case management in a culturally competent manner
- Utilize crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Formulate and implement treatment plans supporting recovery concepts
- Triaging telephone calls and meeting with clients in various settings
- Establish and maintain working relationships with community resources
- Communicate with interdisciplinary team members to facilitate clinical management
- Facilitate linkages to medical providers and other community resources
- Complete necessary paperwork using the CareLogic Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Support recovery concepts and formulate measurable goals and objectives
- Participate in discharge planning and ensure follow-up after crisis episodes
- Foster teamwork and cooperation within the team
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Participate in supervision, training, and consultations as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related social science field
- Minimum of two years of mental health experience in crisis services under the supervision of a mental health professional
- Must have or be on track for one of the following WA State licenses:
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
- Agency Affiliated Counselor License
- Recognition as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) based on licensure
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Valid Washington State driverâ?TMs license and minimum required liability insurance
- Education and training in psychopathology, psychopharmacology, crisis intervention, and assessment of risk
- Competency with special populations and knowledge of behavioral health care delivery
- Strong crisis assessment and stabilization skills
- Cultural competency and ability to work with diverse populations

The Crisis Outreach Professional provides direct crisis evaluation and intervention for acute crisis services. Responsibilities include clinical services, specialist consultation, and fulfilling duties as a Designated Crisis Responder (DCR). This role involves working with individuals experiencing acute emotional distress and mental health crises to stabilize them in the least restrictive setting possible.
