    Contact us today to see how you can achieve your MMS Edge. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager for our 100-unit, multi-family residential property located in Gainesville, FL.

    The Assistant Property Manager will be responsible, under the direction of the Property Manager, for assisting with the overall management of the operation.

    Above all else, the spirit of teamwork and cooperation with other team members will not only improve the job but enhance the entire work experience.

    Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain a professional image and attitude in keeping the objectives of Management and residents' welfareAssist in adherence to the Policy Handbook and Procedures ManualPrepare and maintain complete resident and general office filesAssist in showing units and screening applicantsAssist in certifying residents' incomeAssist in the collection of rent and preparation of receiptsPrepare late notices and notices to pay rentWork with the manager regarding legal proceedingsMaintain records of rental levels of comparable units in surrounding areasMaintain tickler files for annual apartment inspectionsAssist in the annual unit inspection processAssist in keeping the apartment condition and status chart up-to-dateAssist in scheduling vacant units for refurbishing and occupancyAssist in the maintenance work order system and in following purchase order proceduresOrder office supplies within established budgeted guidelinesAssist in maintaining all required inventories for project supplies and equipmentAssist in advertising preparationAssist in maintaining the required computer postingsAssist in typing and/or maintaining weekly and monthly reportsCompose and type correspondence and documentsAnswer the phone and greet residents and visitors pleasantly and professionallyMaintain professional communication with residents, applicants, and representatives of other companiesQualifications for this positionMinimum one-year property management experienceAbility to complete tenant certificationsStrong organizational skillsMinimum high school education or equivalentProficient use of computers, computer operating systems, and standard office equipmentAbility to work well with and troubleshoot resident/client issuesCapable of performing duties of the Property Manager in their absenceEqual Opportunity Employer
