Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Quality Technician to join our team. The Lead QualityTechnician will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products through rigorous
testing, inspection, and adherence to established standards and procedures. This individual will lead a
team of quality technicians and collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and management to
maintain and improve product quality and food safety.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor a team of quality technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure
- Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, inprocess products, and finished goods to ensure
- Perform various quality tests, including but not limited to physical, chemical, and sensory
- Identify and investigate deviations from quality standards, documenting findings and
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to address quality issues and implement
- Maintain accurate records of quality testing results, inspection findings, and corrective actions
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures, training
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing support and facilitating corrective actions
- Communicate effectively with crossfunctional teams, including production, R&D, and
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to
systems as appropriate.
- Serve as the primary liaison for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) activities,
- Must be certified as a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and responsible for
compliance with FSMA regulations.
- Qualifications:

- Strong understanding of food safety principles, quality management systems, and regulatory
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively coach, motivate, and develop a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make
systems is desirable.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross functionally and influence positive change.
- Flexibility to work in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated problemsolving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed to support production schedules
Experience:
Required
- Strong understanding of food safety principles, quality management systems, and regulatory
- 3 year(s): Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
Education:
Preferred
- High School or better
