- Conduct research, analyze various types of data, and produce reports and visualizations to support effective decision-making and policy formation within the district.
- Collect, clean, validate, and interpret data for internal consumption, and for federal, state and/or other external agency/organization reporting.
- Extract, process, and submit data from/to various systems, including, but not limited to, the Collin College Student Information System, the Collin College Data Warehouse, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), and the Integrated Post-secondary Education Data System (IPEDS).
- Collaborate with the director of enrollment analytics and reporting to generate state reports, federal reports, and other designated external reports, ensuring data integrity and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with the director of enrollment analytics and reporting to generate and maintain Tableau workbooks for internal and external consumption.
- Create, generate, and maintain regulatory reports and internal reports in the Workday system.
- Collect and analyze data using software tools/packages as needed.
- Utilize advanced data analysis and methods to identify opportunities for improvements and initiatives.
- Produce and maintain documentation of data, processes, and finished products.
- Collaborate with the director of enrollment analytics and reporting to generate, validate, and maintain reports and visualizations in the institution's website for internal and external consumption.
- Stay abreast of changes in laws, rules, policies, and procedures. Maintain knowledge of current trends, events and emerging issues. Identify information, programs, and resources useful to the Institutional Research Office (IRO).
- Mentor and support other research analysts, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and Core Values.
- Basic knowledge of statistics, and the ability to understand and analyze quantitative information
- Programming experience using R, Python, or similar language
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis in Excel
- Knowledge of federal and/or state reports and reporting procedures preferred
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Experience working with SQL or similar tools to extract data from large databases
- Experience with Ellucian/Banner, Microsoft Power BI, SPSS, R, Python, Oracle SQL Developer, Evisions Argos, Tableau preferred
- Experience with Workday cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system desirable
- Experience creating reports in the Workday system desirable
- Demonstrated history of meeting frequent, regular deadlines
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work under minimal supervision to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work cooperatively with other employees

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution, with a minimum of three (3) hours of instruction in quantitative methods and five (5) years of experience in data analysis and reporting, with expertise in higher education preferred.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or R, and experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Demonstrated ability to translate complex datasets into clear and actionable insights.
Preferred
Master's degree from an accredited institution.
Equivalency Language
May substitute one year of graduate related coursework for related experience requirement.
