In addition to their own project/experimental procedures, the Postdoctoral Research Associate is required to work with other lab members and assist with their own projects.

The primary purpose of this appointment is to engage in advanced research training.

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will focus on contributing to the research initiatives of the department under the principal investigator/mentor's mentorship and interaction with collaborators.

The incumbent will work in Dr. Kenneth Liechty's lab on research in wound healing, tissue regeneration, inflammation, and drug development.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop research projects and perform experiments within the Department of Surgery.
  • Train and supervise intern, undergraduate, medical, and graduate student lab members.
  • Work as a member of the principal investigator's research team and contribute novel hypotheses, ideas, and develop novel methodologies.
  • Contribute and participate in the authorship of research publications and presentations.
  • Collect, analyze and graph data, conclude research projects in a timely manner, write reports, and manuscripts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD or MD conferred by the start date and 03 years of experience at Postdoc rank.
