As a Barclays Prime Services Negotiator Vice President, you will be accountable for drafting, negotiating, and executing various capital markets contract documentation assisting the Prime Services and Prime Derivative Services (PDS) businesses of Barclays.

Global Contract Services (GCS) is a global team within Markets Legal that is primarily in charge of the negotiation and execution of master trading documentation for Barclays' client-facing Markets business.

Salary/ Rate Minimum:
$190,000

Salary/ Rate Maximum:
$259,000

What will you be doing?

Assisting with the prime brokerage, futures, and related financing businesses by drafting, negotiating, and executing capital markets contract documentation
Helping ISDA Master Agreement and Credit Support Agreements, Global Master Repurchase Agreement, Prime Brokerage Agreement, and Futures Agreement
Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and documentation risk controls and adhere to associated guidelines and procedures
Conducting independent legal analysis and leading relationships with external counsel where necessary and within Barclays requirements on external legal spend
Advising senior stakeholders of the firm including Managing Directors and Directors in Sales, Trading, Risk, Compliance, and Operations with respect to risks, controls, and legal
Establishing and maintaining good relationships with senior stakeholders of the firm to establish client trading relationships and drive business priorities
Partnering with colleagues in infrastructure areas of Barclays Investment Bank including in the Legal Department, Risk, Operations, Tax, Counterparty Risk Trading, and Treasury
Identifying processes that can be improved around data capture, technology, and documentation guidelines

What we're looking for:

Bachelor's Degree
Several years of financial experience and negotiation experience of prime services agreements
Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Skills that will help you in the role:

Also including intermediation agreements (FXPB), repurchase agreements, stock lending agreement, and any supplementary agreements
Knows the importance of legal risk management in the context of document negotiation and the regulatory developments in the prime and derivatives industry

Where will you be working?
You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue.
