Athenee Importers is a family owned and operated importer of alcoholic beverages from Greece and Cyprus and is based in Hempstead NY.

We are looking for a compliance/office manager to assist in the daily running of business.


Key Qualifications:

• Must be comfortable working in a small business setting.
• Excellent communication skills

- both oral and written. A marketing background to utilize towards product/catalog inclusion.

• Detailoriented, organized, and the ability to work with sales people and supplier partners as needed.
• Thorough knowledge of the internet to navigate state alcoholic beverage websites in order to complete monthly compliance and label registrations in addition to updating data in distributor's inventory systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft NAV (preferred) and fluency in Excel and Powerpoint. Knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe is a plus
• Positive attitude, team player, and a great sense of humor.

Administrative Function (including but not limited to):

• The main point of contact for customers and suppliers (e.g. mail, telephone, office supplies, order entry, shipping, receiving, filing).
• An understanding of import operations, policies, and procedures.
• Handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information.

A knowledge of alcoholic beverages is not required but is a plus as our portfolio has over 125 SKU's and is growing.

Greek is a language that is regularly spoken in the office, thus knowledge of Greek would be valuable. Due to the nature of the business, this is an in office position.
