    Description

    Title: Subrogation Attorney

    Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid Working)

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a skilled Attorney to join the dynamic team of our client based in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in subrogation, insurance defense, coverage, products liability, or related areas of the law. As a Subrogation Attorney, you will play a pivotal role in representing our clients' interests in subrogation matters, ensuring efficient resolution and maximum recovery.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage a caseload of subrogation matters from inception to resolution, including investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and litigation if necessary.
    • Conduct legal research and analysis to assess liability, damages, and insurance coverage issues.
    • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
    • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to facilitate case progression and negotiate settlements.
    • Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as required.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to develop case strategies and optimize outcomes for clients.
    • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends impacting subrogation practice areas.
    • Maintain accurate records, billing entries, and case management data in accordance with firm policies and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Admission to the Illinois State Bar in good standing.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing law in insurance defense, coverage, products liability, or related areas.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
    • Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and achieving client objectives.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet billable hour targets (1900 billable hours per year).
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
