    Description

    Seeking a Lab Tech to join a Food Company in the Northeast Philadelphia area.

    Must be open to 2nd and 3rd shift.

    Only local candidates will be considered.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure timely, accurate analysis of finished products through internal chemical and physical testing as well as microbiological analysis. This includes conducting on line analytical tests such as Brix, pH, and fruit ID as well as lab tests such as water activity and 24 hour analysis.
    • Maintain current records of finished product analysis, as well as calibration of test equipment, such as pH meter and refractometer, and record results in calibration log book.
    • Notify Production Supervisor and QA Supervisor of line deviations. Place product on hold as necessary.
    • Swab equipment and perform environmental microbiological tests.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of Associate's degree in Science field (Bachelor degree will also be considered).
    • Previous Lab or Quality experience is strongly preferred.

    Must be open to 2nd and 3rd shifts.

    Only local candidates will be considered.
