Community Services for Children is Seeking individual with strong leadership skills for a rewarding career as an ELRC Keystone STARS Designator to support the Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC).

The position is responsible for completing reviews of all evidence submitted for Keystone STARS designation.

This position also promotes the values and benefit of full participation in Keystone Stars, and Child Care Works programs throughout the region, and soliciting involvement.

Work Environment:


A $1,000 monetary incentive will be paid to newly employed Community Services for Children staff members. The $1,000 payout will be paid upon successful completion of probation.

  • Promotes the values and benefit of full participation in Keystone Stars, and Child Care Works programs throughout the region, soliciting involvement.
  • Completes review of all evidence submissions in the PD Registry for STAR designations at a STAR 2, 3 &
  • Ensures consistency and quality of all evidence accepted meets OCDEL and CSC expectations.
  • Completes onsite designation visits for all STAR movements.
  • Schedules and conducts site visits timely and communicates with supervisor should support be needed
  • Develops weekly, monthly and annual plan that includes; anticipated designations/renewals, ELRC meetings, Supervision Conferences, and Staff Meetings.
  • Prepares and delivers monthly feedback to quality team on STAR indicators, best practice and process based on trends from designation reviews.
  • Gathers designation data and prepares monthly reports as requested.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in ECE or a bachelor's degree that includes 12 semester hours of college level courses that could include but are not limited to; ECE, child care management, child development, special education or related fields required; master's degree in ECE is preferred
  • At least two years of experience working in an early care and education or school age program
  • At least two years as a Keystone STARS Quality Coach providing on site and/or virtual guidance, support, and assistance to a variety of early learning programs preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills including communication, coaching, professional development of others.
  • Analytical /evaluation skills with ability to develop and implement continuous quality improvement strategies.
  • Strong technology skills and understanding of the PD Registry system.
  • Valid Driver's license and full time use of car for extensive travel within ELRC regions and to attend required meetings throughout Pennsylvania, as needed.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
