GENERAL SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Provide leadership to inspire team members in executing a plan.
  • Establish a communication channel to successfully deliver project objectives at all levels, responsibilities, expectations, and feedback.
  • Understanding the objective in formulating a plan by prioritization and documenting a workflow. Managing the preparation of strategic plans, budgets, reports, and financial forecasts.
  • Decision maker by listening, analyze and be decisive.
  • Collaborative leadership by developing relationships, understanding the importance of strengths and weaknesses of individual team members.
  • Solving problems by understanding the challenges, addressing, and adapting to architect a recovery plan.
  • Develop negotiation skills to settle the differences by understanding the impact to the overall objective.
  • Competence to be effective by demonstrating knowledge and ability to lead towards successful performance.
  • Requires integrity, honesty, good judgements and be respectful.
  • Responsible for the ontime and onbudget completion of the project.
  • Ensures that the requirements of the contract and the customer are fulfilled.
  • Serves as the primary contact for the customer on issues related to the contract and the construction.
  • Enforces a strict safety program that focuses on accident prevention. Maintains a safe work environment for employees, subcontractors, visitors, and the general public. Monitors compliance with the company's safety policies.
  • Ensures that all activities on the project are conducted to protect company assets by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Manages the staff at the project location to include hiring, training, evaluating, and counseling. Assesses manpower needs and adjusting the staff appropriately to deliver success.
  • Other essential duties as assigned by the company.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Three to five years of progressively more responsible field construction and management experience. Any discipline acceptable with civil, mechanical or electrical preferred. Desirable work experience includes contract management, QA/QC surveillance and/or estimating. Supervisory experience a plus.

A working knowledge of the following software is desired:

Procore, Sage, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and A BS/BA degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, or construction engineering preferred, but not required.

An equivalent combination of collegiate education or experience will be considered.


LANGUAGE SKILLS


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction contracts, construction drawings and specifications, common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

Effectively present and communicate information to 3D management and public groups as necessary both in written or oral format, in interpreting requirements and providing reports.

Should possess good customer service abilities along with refined grammar skills. The position requires interaction with clients, other departments, and field employees in a professional manner.


REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit; use hand and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

The incumbent is required to walk daily on construction sites in rough terrain, and climb ladders and facilities under construction.

The incumbent is occasionally required to stand for long periods of time. The incumbent may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. And occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.


WORK ENVIRONMENT


While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent regularly splits time between work in a semi-quiet construction office environment and on construction sites, where there is moderate to occasional great noise levels.
