    WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

    • Clinical Inquiries Conducts clinical inquiries to improve patient care.
    • Clinical Practice Reform Initiatives Leads and participates in performance initiatives to enable clinical practice reform.
    • Evidence-Based Standards Practices Development Participates in the development and implementation of evidence-based standards of care.
    • Reporting Utilizes alerts and best practices (e.g. Sentinel Event Alerts) to perform gap assessments and implement strong actions that will alleviate identified gaps.
    • Series Event Analysis Facilitates a thorough and credible review of events that address both system and individual accountability.
    • Effectiveness of Process Changes. Facilitates thorough and credible failure mode effect analysis to identify and mitigate unintended adverse patient outcomes and evaluate effectiveness of process changes.
    • Quality Initiatives Assistance Provides assistance with the development of indicators for identified quality initiatives.
    • Research & Literature Dissemination Provides for the dissemination of current research-based literature and theories necessary for the advancement of patient care.
    • Quality Improvement Advisor Acts as quality improvement advisor for the leadership team, department directors/managers, medical staff, and Nursing. Actively participates and coordinates if appropriate, Medical Staff PI Committee, Medical Section meetings, and other designated meetings as assigned.
    • Goal Setting For Quality Improvement Utilizes clinical and financial benchmarking information to assist with goal setting for quality improvement.
    • Problem Resolutions Effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex. If the problem is complex, escalates for assistance.
    Qualifications
    • Required Bachelor's Degree
    • Preferred Certificate
    • Preferred Master's Degree
    • 7 years Clinical Experience Required
    • 3 years Quality Experience Required
