Johns County Health and Human Services Department whose headquarters are located in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida.

The St.

Johns County Family Integrity Program's mission is to work in partnership with the State of Florida and the local community to develop, implement and manage a highly effective, strength-based community-based system of care for abused and neglected children and their families.

The Family Integrity Program provides Dependency Case Management, Family Preservation, Outreach, Foster Care Licensing, Adoption and Independent Living Services for youth aging out of foster care.


Employees work in a team environment across the various programs with a consistent focus on child safety, child well-being and permanency.


Examples of Duties:


  • Assisting with financial, budgetary, and administrative operational functions, ensuring compliance with Federal, State and County requirements.
  • Analyzing short
- and long
- term trends and making appropriate recommendations; processing accounts payable, monitoring expenditures and revenue, preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly narratives, summaries and reports.

  • Preparing timely and accurate ad hoc reports, narratives, analyses, internal financial management procedures and audits.
  • Providing professional and technical guidance to department staff in the areas of budget, finance, operational analysis, and administrative procedures, as requested.
  • Completing monthly project, department, payroll, and OCA reconciliations.
  • Obtaining pertinent information and performing tasks related to the entering and monitoring of requisitions, purchase orders, and other goods or services requests, and reconciling purchase card reports.
  • Maintaining a fulltime presence on the job.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related course of study to the occupational field.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience as an accountant, economist, budget or financial analyst, internal auditor, or related field.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver license.
  • Must possess the skills to operate general office equipment, basic computer equipment, and software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in the English language.
