Job Overview: We are seeking friendly and outgoing individuals to join our team as hosts/hostesses at [Insert Restaurant Name]. As a host/hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests, welcoming them warmly, managing reservations, and seating guests promptly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
Manage reservations, including taking reservations over the phone, entering them into the reservation system, and confirming reservations with guests.
Maintain an organized seating chart and coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and accommodate guest preferences.
Escort guests to their tables and present menus, ensuring that they feel valued and comfortable.
Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service for guests.
Monitor the waiting area and manage guest expectations by providing accurate wait time estimates and updates.
Answer phone calls and assist guests with inquiries regarding reservations, menu items, and restaurant policies.
Assist with general restaurant duties, such as cleaning and organizing the host/hostess station, restocking supplies, and assisting with takeout orders as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role preferred but not required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently and courteously with guests and team members.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and resolve guest concerns or issues effectively.
Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
