Summary:

Provides assistance and support to Technical Services and Quality Control personnel in tracking, documenting, auditing, validating and adjusting processes within the Ready Mix Division.

Assists with data entry into Quadrel. Manages Incident Investigation database and generates reports related to incidents and costs associated with them.

Assists in development and maintaining positive and proactive relationships with Prairie plant, operations and support personnel, ensuring mutually beneficial and collaborative processes for maintaining product quality.


Job Scope:
Technical Services for specific region of Prairie Material (Northern Illinois).


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Works closely and communicates regularly with Quality Control Managers, Credit Department, Sales, Operations, Billing and Accounts Payable.
  • Ensures nonconformance and other quality performance reports are completed accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Provides support to Process Owners to measure, document and track specific actual performance in the areas of quality, efficiency and customer service.
  • Responsible for managing Incident Investigation database. Assists all regions with correct entry procedures into system. Assists with scanning documents for entry into system. Documents credits issued for incidents into database.
  • Enters data from contract field technicians in appropriate systems. Enters results from thirdparty laboratories into Quadrel.
  • Uses Spectrum and Command systems to retrieve ticket, batch, customer, and other information as required.
  • Assists Technical Support Manager and QC Field Supervisor/Manager with Performance reporting and Special Projects.
  • Distributes mail and receives faxes.
  • Files reports, inspection results, lab certifications, etc.
  • Processes invoices.
  • Arranges meetings.
  • General office duties and reporting.

Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma plus two to four years related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.


Competency:
ACI & ASTM testing skills.


Skills:
Job requires analyzing a given situation/set of data and making recommendations for changes/improvements/modifications. Strong interpersonal skills. Well-developed project management skills. Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge


Job Requirement:
ACI and/or IDOT Level I certification.


Travel Requirements:
Frequent travel between plant locations within a region.
