Overview:
This position is a Director of Ticketing overseeing multiple types of ticketing systems and venues.

Responsible for the administration and management of the computerized ticketing syste at the Rhode Island Convention Center and Amica Mutual Pavilion.

Supervises Ticket Sellers and Assistant Box Office Manager, and customer service staff. Responsible for venue seating manifest and coordination of changes in venue configuration with promoters and ticketing agency. Responsible for non-computerized ticketing sales. Balances event Box Office statements. Performs pre
- event manifest planning with Booking and Operations division. Responsibilities also include cash flow management, vault operations to include petty cash and deposit administration. Performs recordkeeping on a daily basis as required and provides special reporting on a daily basis to meet the needs of promoters, advertising staff, operations staff and the business office.

This jo pays a salary of $90,000-$102,000 per year.

Responsibilities:


The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this classification.

  • Administration and management of computerized ticketing system from point of event booking through event settlement.
  • Input and retrieve data from ticketing system.
  • Coordinates ticket sales with ticketing system provider ($30M+ annual sales).
  • Maintains contact with the event promoter from initial booking through event settlement.
  • Configures and reconfigures the Venues to meet specifications set forth by the Event Promoter and changes to anticipated attendance.
  • Work with promoters to develop scaling and ticket pricing for events to include presales, VIP Packages, auctions, flexible pricing and ticket exchange.
  • Monitor sales and communicate sales patterns to promoter to maximize sales and potential revenue as well as ensure that tickets sales for the event are distributed throughout all available seats.
  • Configures and reconfigures venues to achieve a full house appearance and maximize sightlines.
  • Communicate with internal staff with regard to event sales to comply with established policies and procedures.
  • Works with operations departments on event setup and changes, works with marketing dept to implement discounts and special offers, update other key staff on projected attendance.
  • Initiates and monitors group sales activity between the promoter and group sales manager.
  • Cash flow management for Box Office.
  • Supervises and oversees Box Office and cash vault security as well as the checking in, storage and inventory of all tickets.
  • Provide daily reporting as well as event receipts reports to Business Office to assist with event posting and balancing to comply with established policies and procedures.
  • Oversees the selection of Box Office staff.
  • Provides or coordinates staff training. Evaluates employee performance. Works with employees to correct deficiencies.
  • Implements disciplinary procedures.
  • Schedules and supervises full time employand part time ticketing staff.
  • Reviews scheduling and supervision of roster employees.
  • Oversees ticketing for all suite holders and club members including ticketing printing and mailing.
  • Communicates with members about upcoming events, changes to their normal seating, processes orders and oversees monthly ticket mailing.
  • Directs, trains, motivates, and evaluates assigned employees in compliance with Federal, State and Local laws/regulations and Human Resources policies and provides the guidance by which assigned employees can change to more effective programs/methodologies and grow in technological and procedural efficiencies.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
