Job Specifications:


Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, instructional support, coaching and guidance to teachers integrating performing arts within their classrooms and embedded throughout the curriculum(s).
  • Develop, select and model lessons that meaningfully integrate the performing arts (music, dance, and drama/theater) as an instructional strategy and incorporate use of arts integration.
  • Assists teachers in developing accommodations and adaptations to ensure full participation of all students
  • Assists teachers in creating an arts integrated classroom environment that provide for student involvement in the learning process and enables each students to achieve their learning objectives by coaching and guiding teachers.
  • Provide input regarding the planning of instructional goals, objectives and methods in arts integration.
  • Participates in and delivers arts integration professional development to families and staff members.
  • Assist in creation and implementation of performances (i.e. Shareperformances, shows, etc.)
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Education and Training:


  • G.E.D. or High School Diploma

AND

  • 4 years of documented training in performing arts discipline

AND

  • 45 Hour Department of Children and Family Training within 90 days if working in PreK

Minimum Experience:


  • 2 years or more experience teaching performing arts to children.
  • Experience coordinating performances and field trips.
  • Prefer experience working with students with special needs in a multidisciplinary setting
