Senior Network Engineer CORE JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert in Network hardware and software configurations and support. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in troubleshooting & supporting end-user and/or systems requiring timely solutions. Expertise in LAN, WAN, MAN, load balancing & Wireless administration. Demonstrated knowledge utilizing network diagnostic and management tools to include packet and traffic analysis network environments.
Extensive expertise in project planning and best practices setups, change management procedures, system design and configuration planning practices and outage analysis and streamline incident resolution.
Familiarity with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security standards and able to incorporate into IT solutions.
Demonstrated expertise in technical communications with a strong desire to achieve customer satisfaction; will work alongside USSS staff from the Network, Cyber Security and/or Server branches to provide technical support.
Demonstrated expertise in Software Defined Networking product and support Demonstrated expertise in hyperconverged network product and support. Demonstrated experience as a technical writer; documentation skills should be second nature. Responsible for the design, installation, analysis, troubleshooting and maintenance of computer networks. Develops and maintains a network that provides maximum and efficient performance and reliability for users.Performs tasks such as installation and configuration, testing and maintenance on new server hardware and software infrastructures; identification, diagnosis and resolution of network problems; and maintenance of required certification from key vendors.
Responsible for keeping the network secure from a variety of threats and the recommendation and scheduling of network repairs.ROLE, JOB SCOPE:
