Position Summary
The Superintendent oversees warehouse employees, offering necessary guidance to their team. Coordinates and directs workplace organization and production activities to align with company objectives and customer requirements. Enforces adherence to company policies and procedures among employees. Ensures work aligns with company health, safety, and environmental protocols. Serves as a communication link to senior management, ensuring objectives are met to achieve business goals.


What You'll Do

  • Foster a culture of safety awareness & safety prioritization.
  • Ensure that quality standards are met, and champion quality ownership of the work center.
  • Enforce all company rules, policies, and procedures; communicate issues or concerns with Division leadership and/or Corporate.
  • Oversite of warehouse staff (approximately 45 employees) Directs department activities and ensures production is carried out by schedule attainment, regarding all packaging, order filling, cutting, and placement of material in proper areas.
  • Conducts team meetings and guides the team on work requirements and expectations.
  • Ensure the safe operation of all warehouse equipment, overhead cranes, and inventory placement (ensure company safety policies are being followed).
  • Verify customer orders have been accurately prepared and are packaged according to customer requirements.
  • Ensure nextday orders are completed during the shift.
  • Review all future orders for possible nextday shipping.
  • Preparing truck routes for the next day's deliveries.
  • Handson pulling of orders.
  • Distribute orders to the proper order prep areas.
  • Manage flow of all shipping documents including material test reports.
  • Route all paperwork from the sales office to the proper shipping areas after printing ship tags.
  • Prepare all return material paperwork and material to the appropriate bay areas.
  • Transferring shipping data from the work order copies to the delivery copies.
  • Filling out all shuttle papers, both work orders, and the Bill of Lading.
  • At shift's end, check the plant floor for errant paperwork and any problem orders.
  • Taking care of all late will calls when customers arrive.
  • Closing the facility including making sure all doors and bays are locked and the alarm system has been turned on.
  • Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by the division and/or corporate management team.

Experience and Certifications

  • Minimum of (5) years of leadership experience.
  • Five (5) to Ten (10) years experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Mechanically inclined person a plus.
  • Experience with truck trafficking and shipping preferred.
  • Experience operating a forklift is required.
  • Experience in using various computer programs such as MS Office Suite a plus.
  • Must be able to quickly assimilate technical information and build solutions to meet the everchanging demands of the business.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail, processoriented, with excellent judgment skills are essential.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
