    Staff Accountant

    Job Summary

    Performs basic fiscal, accounting, and general ledger functions. Prepares financial forecasts and research.

    Essential Functions

    The Hillman Cancer Center (HCC) General Accounting Department is seeking a qualified Staff Accountant.

    The Staff Accountant will be responsible for analyzing financial information to prepare journal entries for the Hillman Cancer Center. This position will also assist, to varying degrees, with the preparation of schedules to the financial statements and maintenance of the general ledger system. The incumbent will be required to gather a wide variety of financial information, interpret the information, and analyze the financial impact on HCC.

    The individual will also be required to provide concise account analysis reporting spreadsheets and word documents and monitor budget activity, which will include prior, present, and future budget periods. This position requires an individual that is flexible and has the ability to perform multiple tasks with varying deadlines.
