Job Description
As a materials engineer in the S8G Safety Systems group, you will have the opportunity to work on technical and scheduling issues to support the rest of the ROH, the XSD, and the return to student training. The Materials Engineer will work with a lead engineer to support development of packages, deconflict plant conditions, and ensure the safe operation of the S8G Prototype. The materials engineer will be responsible to the SSSMM to manage schedules and projects associated with ESFS systems and work with the team to engineer solutions to operational and material issues.
Specific duties include but are not limited to the scoping and development of the necessary work documents to ensure acceptable operations of ESFS systems at the S8G Prototype. This effort will involve scheduling and planning for related operations level work, preventive and corrective maintenance requirements, development of any necessary design and/or manual change requests. The individual will be expected to interface with cognizant design agents as necessary to ensure timely resolution of near-term and long-term deliverables. The chosen candidate will assist with spare parts needs to support planned and emergent maintenance activities, to include resolution of obsolete part issues as needed.
Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 9 years of relevant experience; and currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part II qualified; or qualified SIT and 3 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or Currently or previously CRE qualified; or 6 years as SRE; or SRE qualified and 9 years of experience. Prior Nuclear Plant Engineer (NPE) or Crew Training Engineer (CTE) qualification (any plant) in the Nuclear Operations Program.

Pay Range
$112,700 - $176,200 annuallyNote the salary information provided above is a general guideline only.
