    ***Job Summary***

    Interfaces directly with Stores, Distribution Centers and Transportation Companies to provide a timely flow if merchandise into our stores while working to maintain the lowest possible transportation cost.

    ***Major Areas of Responsibility:***

    Creates daily delivery schedule based on volume, obtains maximum savings by splitting or combining loads without affecting service to the stores.

    Supports Stores, Distribution Center, Loss Prevention and Transportation companies through timely communication.

    Monitors and communicates with transportation vendors to ensure performance compliance and problem resolution are maintained.

    Creates and monitors cross dock schedule.

    Generates and issues all reports, logs and other written communication.

    Monitors Return to Vendor (RTV) process. (Dispatch, trace)

    Participates in special projects as assigned.

    Store Management Schedule changes, lates, cartons counts.

    Distribution Center Management Schedule changes, delivery changes

    Home Office Transportation Store requests

    Transportation Information

    Carriers Tracing, trailer changes, lates

    Dispatchers Load

    Vendors RTVs (Return to Vendors)

    ***Job Knowledge***

    **Minimum formal education, if any, required to perform this job e.g., Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Law Degree):**

    High School or equivalent job experience.

    Transportation or Shipping related courses

    **Minimum job skills required to perform this job (for example: programming languages, strong interpersonal skills, computer software packages):**

    Strong interpersonal skills.

    Strong computer skills.

    Strong math skills.

    **Minimum experience required to perform this job:**

    1-2 years Shipping/Transportation operation.
