Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Room Technician to join our team.

As an Emergency Room Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Your primary responsibilities will include assisting medical staff, performing vital signs, and ensuring the smooth operation of the emergency room.


Duties:


  • Assist medical staff with patient care procedures and treatments
  • Perform vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation
  • Collect patient information and document accurately in electronic medical records
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  • Assist with wound care and suture removal under the supervision of medical professionals
  • Perform phlebotomy to obtain blood samples for laboratory testing
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Adhere to aseptic technique guidelines to prevent infection transmission
  • Provide basic life support in emergency situations
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program preferred
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Previous experience working in an acute care or hospital setting is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in performing vital signs and phlebotomy techniques
  • Knowledge of hospital medicine protocols and emergency room procedures
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
