Overview:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Medical Assistant to deliver compassionate care to our Oncology patients by assisting with clinical tasks, performing support services for clinical staff and providing direct interaction with patients and their caregivers in our fast-paced out-patient oncology clinic.


This position will work between our Gilbert and Chandler office.

Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday day shift position.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Supports providers in the delivery of patient care services and office operations.
  • Prepares examining areas and patients for examination, procedure or treatment by a provider or authorized practitioner.
  • Obtains vital signs and records patient's medical history and other relevant data.
  • Assists provider with patient examinations, treatments and inoffice procedures. Must possess excellent sterile technique.
  • Administers injections or assists with treatments/procedures under direction of authorized practitioner.
  • Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
  • Obtains prior authorizations, schedules testing and treatments.
  • Answers telephone calls and other general office functions.
  • Travel between offices will be required.
  • Must be able to type and work on a computer.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Knowledge of HIPAA rules & regulations.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic testing and radiation procedures, preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Internet.
  • Ability to use office equipment, computer.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual preferred.

Education and Experience:


  • 12 years' surgical/oncology experience
    required.
  • National MA Certification will be required within 90 days (if not already obtained).
  • Valid driver's license.
